Genius Umar lahir di Kota Pariaman, Sumatra Barat, 24 Juli 1972 merupakan seorang politisi, birokrat, dan akademisi Indonesia. Ia menjabat Wali Kota Pariaman periode 2018—2023 sejak 9 Oktober 2018 setelah memenangkan Pemilihan umum Wali Kota Pariaman 2018.

Sebelumnya Genius Umar mengakhiri jabatan Wakil Wali Kota Pariaman periode 2013—2018 setelah memenangi Pemilihan umum Wali Kota Pariaman 2013 dengan mendampingi Wali Kota petahana Mukhlis Rahman.
